Prince Harry reportedly ‘can’t take anymore’ after yet another alleged snub by the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex, the youngest son of King Charles III, stepped back from senior royal responsibilities in 2020. Since then, he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have settled in Montecito, California, with their children, Archie and Lilibet Sussex.
Since turning his back on royal life, Prince Harry has endured a series of setbacks involving his family, and now, reports suggest he has ‘reached a tipping point.’
Speaking to Woman magazine, via the Mirror, royal expert Emily Andrews claimed, ‘it has been humiliation after humiliation for Prince Harry.’
A painful reunion that never happened
The first of the reported setbacks came during Prince Harry’s widely publicized return to the UK in 2024, where he attended celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games alongside other engagements.
Despite traveling home, reports claimed the Duke was unable to secure a meeting with his father, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, because of the King’s packed schedule.
Royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths suggested the situation may have been complicated by ‘certain demands’ allegedly made by Prince Harry.
“There is some talk that behind the scenes, a lot of negotiating went on,” Griffiths told GB News. “I think the reason was that Harry made certain demands about who could be in the room and who couldn’t. Although on the surface it looks like a snub, Harry made it very difficult for his father.”
Griffiths went on to suggest that ‘other forces’ may also have played a role in the monarch’s decision.
The expert added: “William may have had a thought about how this meeting should be conducted or whether it should be conducted at all.”
After confirmation emerged that the father and son would not meet during Harry’s UK visit, a spokesperson for the prince stated: “The duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
Another royal event without the Sussexes
Prince Harry reportedly experienced a second disappointment shortly afterward when he and Meghan were absent from King Charles’ official birthday celebrations.
The monarch celebrated his second Trooping the Colour ceremony as King on June 15, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not attend. According to People magazine, the couple were not invited to the event.
The last time Harry and Meghan appeared at Trooping the Colour was in 2022, although they were not included in the main procession or the traditional Buckingham Palace balcony appearance.
Even so, reports claimed the couple attempted to extend support to Kate Middleton as the occasion marked her return to public duties following her cancer diagnosis.
A source told Closer magazine: “They’ve jointly reached out to send well wishes, but they’re still not really in a place with Kate to warrant much of a response,” adding that this “hasn’t stopped them from trying to connect.”
Missing out on society’s wedding of the year
The third and final reported ‘humiliation’ centered around the Duke of Westminster’s high-profile wedding.
According to Andrews, the event would have been “too awkward” for Prince Harry to attend due to ongoing tensions within the royal family. Although Harry and Meghan were reportedly invited to the lavish ceremony, they ultimately “respectfully declined” the invitation. Speculation suggests the decision may have been linked to the prince’s strained relationship with his older brother, Prince William, who was also invited.
The reported absence from the wedding — alongside other recent setbacks — has allegedly left Prince Harry feeling increasingly isolated from Britain’s elite social circles.
A source told Radar Online: “There are some days when Harry says he can’t take it anymore – the slights, the coldness coming from the palace, it’s like he’s no longer a part of that family.”
