It takes a very brave man to make a dig at his wife before Christmas, and Prince Harry has done just that.
Even worse, he’s taken a shot at Meghan Markle’s cooking, which is doubly awkward seeing as she hosts a lifestyle show, With Love, Megan, which features a lot of recipes.
Takeaway for one for Christmas lunch then, Harry?
He might have his mother-in-law cooking for him instead following his remark, as he definitely seems to be on a mission to win brownie points from Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland.
Harry made the comment during the festive special of Meghan’s Netflix series, called With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, which features the Duchess of Sussex sharing some of her most-loved Christmas creations.
The couple also shared their Christmas card pic which got people talking due to a ‘mistake’.

The special appeared on the streaming platform on December 3, but Harry’s comment is raising eyebrows about being either very brave or very stupid.
The episode features Meghan whipping up a batch of Christmas Eve gumbo which she says is a family recipe.
The Duchess of Sussex is seen stood at the stove, stirring the pot, before Harry wanders in and gives her a kiss.
He smells the stew before announcing: “You must have known that I was coming.”
He then added: “Gumbo for me is one of my favourites, especially her mom’s. But before the fish goes in.”
Meghan says her mum makes a special version for Harry: “She always saves a little portion on the side for him, I’ll give you a little towel because you’re going to sweat,” she added, saying she uses a spicier sausage than her mom’s recipe.

Harry tried a bite then confessed: “I can feel it puncturing through the top of my head right now.”
“It is delicious,” he says. “I’m not so sure it’s as good as your mum’s, but it’s certainly close” he quipped, as Meghan’s jaw dropped at the cheek.
“What?! Oh my gosh,” she laughs. “Well, my mom will love you for that. You know what? What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law.”
There’s those brownie points for Harry for saying that on a series watched by millions of people.
“I love the holiday season,” Megan said.
“It’s about finding time to connect with the people we love, embracing traditions and making new ones.”
She also visits a Christmas tree farm and shared her gift wrapping techniques.
With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration is available to watch on Netflix now.
