Meghan Markle and Prince Harry share Christmas card after revealing name change

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just shared their 2025 Christmas card with fans – after revealing a major name change.

The couple, who tied the knot back in 2018 before stepping down as senior working royals in 2020, have sent out an official Christmas card every year since their wedding, with the grand total as of today being eight cards.

Last year’s, however, was extra special as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex invited their two children and their dogs to join in on the sweet snap – marking the first time that six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet have been photographed publicly in years.

With that said, though, Harry and Meghan made the decision to picture their kids from the back, with Archie and Lilibet seen running into their parents’ arms, with their three dogs flanking the family at the sides on the grounds of their Montecito mansion.

Such was also the case with this year’s festive release – though, for it, they shook things up slightly, by sharing a Christmas clip, as opposed to an actual card.

A video compilation shared on the couple’s charity website featured clips from their year, including both Meghan and Harry undertaking humanitarian work and caring for their two children.

In one section, Archie and Lilibet join their parents for a surprise outing to prepare meals for their local community as part of Archewell’s partnership with Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA), with the twosome seen making food and pushing trollies.

“On behalf of the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Archewell, we wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year,” the accompanying message read.

It’s not just the contents of the clip that have set tongues wagging, however, but a name-change to the couple’s organisation, which was announced just prior to the release.

To celebrate the firm’s fifth anniversary, the couple revealed that it would henceforth be known as ‘Archewell Philanthropies’, as opposed to the Archewell Foundation.

As per People, the organisation said: “This next chapter allows Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to broaden their global philanthropic efforts as a family, with meaningful reach and maximum impact, grounded in the same values, partnerships, and their commitment to show up and do good.”

The Christmas video was also signed with the same title.

Speaking of royal Christmas cards, King Charles and Queen Camilla released their own on 7 December.

The King and Queen chose their 20th wedding anniversary portrait, which was taken in April, to feature in the card this year.

Charles and Camilla are pictured standing side by side, with the Queen’s arm linking the King’s, in the grounds of Villa Wolkonsky, the British ambassador’s residence in Rome.

The photograph is framed inside the card by a dark red border, with the printed message in a matching colour on the opposite side reading: “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”
