Princess Beatrice and Eugenie face awkward Kate Middleton dilemma ahead of Christmas

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie could be about to face an awkward dilemma at Christmas time.

Each year, the Princess of Wales hosts her annual Christmas carol service, which is usually televised on Christmas Eve.

Countless other members of the Royal Family often attend, including the likes of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, as well as Prince William and their children – Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte.

Last year, people were quick to notice that Andrew was missing from the event.

In fact, according to Marie Claire, Andrew – who now goes by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor – has never been to the concert and has reportedly never actually been invited.

Despite this, daughters Beatrice and Eugenie are apparently regulars.

Last month, Andrew’s prince title was removed, following the controversy over his relationship with convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

“His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew,” a statement from the Palace read.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.”

Further titles were removed back in October, including Andrew’s ‘Duke of York’ title.

Following the controversy, broadcaster Neil Sean told Fox News Digital that the sisters had ‘received personal invitations’ for the concert, but the situation ‘puts the sisters in a very difficult dilemma’.

He said: “If they don’t attend, it looks like they’re snubbing a prestigious invite.

“If they do attend, they know there could be a media circus with them at the centre of attention.”

Sean added that Kate has the ‘final say’ on the guest list for the concert, adding: “This is Catherine’s project, and she has the final say—very similar to the way Prince William operates Earthshot. Above all, yes, the Royal Family wants to be seen as united amid what has been a very difficult year.”

The concert will be held on 5 December at Westminster Abbey.

A statement from the Palace, as per People, revealed: “Combining traditional and modern elements to encompass people of all faiths and none, the service will see the world-renowned Westminster Abbey choir sing some of the nation’s most beloved carols, alongside musical performances and readings by guests including Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith, Kate Winslet and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

“The Service will also showcase stories of some of the incredible guests in the congregation, who are leading by example and helping to create a more connected society.

“This year, the Service will bring people together to celebrate love in all its forms — whether it’s love within families, through friendships, across communities or even through powerful moments of connection with strangers. In a world that can often feel fragmented and disconnected, love is the force that reconnects us all – spanning generations, communities, cultures and faiths.

“As we approach the Christmas season, we are reminded of the power of togetherness. The evening will highlight the transformative power of investing in one another with compassion, presence and joy,”
