‘Sarah Ferguson has abandoned Andrew – her next move will tell us everything’

Sarah Ferguson is said to have “abandoned” her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, after the two of them faced a fresh wave of humiliation in regards to their links to Jeffrey Epstein, a royal expert has claimed. The former Duchess of York faced a very public downfall recently after new details about her and Andrew’s dealings with the convicted paedophile came into the spotlight.

Fergie, 66, lost her title, home and career as an author after charities and publishers turned away following the emergence of an email showing her referring to Epstein as her “supreme friend,” despite her team claiming that she sent them after the US financier threatened to sue her for defamation. Now, reports have emerged claiming that Fergie is considering giving a tell-all interview and sharing her “own side of the story” after her former husband has shared his. Other reports claimed she’s willing to write a bombshell memoir about her ordeal.

But a royal expert has cautioned the former Duchess and said her next move will be crucial to how the public perceive her.

Fergie could give a bombshell TV interview

Veteran royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told the Express: “If she is after a fast buck, she might well go back on Oprah or choose another outlet. This would give her publicity.

“In the past, she was able to make comebacks after she was hit by scandals and was admired for this, with charities deserting her after it was proved that she lied regarding her links with Epstein. This seems highly unlikely.

“It depends on what her priorities are, how much money she actually has and what her plans are.

“We will doubtless discover soon, she was a disaster as a working royal and is totally shameless.”

Mr Fitzwilliams added that the former duchess appears to have “abandoned” Andrew, saying: “She is discredited and appears to have abandoned Andrew insofar as we know.

“Also, if the interviews given by Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The rise and fall of the House of York, are anything to go by, a large amount is yet to be revealed, which could prove extremely embarrassing to her.”

It comes as sources told the Express that the former duchess is looking to pen a bombshell memoir, just like Prince Harry, in a bid to fund her life.
