As the controversy around Andrew continues to swirl, onlookers have noticed that his daughter, Princess Beatrice, has quietly changed her name.
It follows the decision by King Charles III to strip Andrew of his royal titles; the former Prince now goes by the name Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
In addition to losing his Prince title, Andrew will also be prohibited from using the Duke of York name, as well as a few other honorary titles.
Andrew had previously relinquished the use of his titles so as not to ‘distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family’.
His ex-wife and Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, has also been known by the name the Duchess of York, but will no longer be allowed to use it.
They aren’t the only ones with a change in moniker, though, as Beatrice also goes by a different one; however, it seems that she has been using it for a few years beforehand.

On her business website and LinkedIn profile, the 37-year-old makes no mention of her ‘Princess’ title or any ‘HRH’ or branding or royal family logos. Instead, she goes by the name Beatrice York.
One royal fan wrote in 2024: “Friendly reminder that Beatrice and Eugenie, blood princesses, are known in the professional world as Beatrice and Eugenie York.”
“I’m sure their royal status helped give them a leg up but they don’t parade around demanding people call them by their royal titles. Just saying.”
Royal expert Chris Riches told The Express that he believes Beatrice and Eugenie should also be officially stripped of their Royal titles, in the same way as their mother and father.
“Firstly, just being pictured with ‘mum and dad’ as HRHs, continues a royal link to Andrew and Fergie’s Epstein shame that never evaporates. It festers. It lingers,” he wrote.
“Secondly, as Princesses and public figures, they’ll always be one precarious step from their parents’ precipice of ignominy — Andrew and Fergie’s past a ‘sword of Damocles’ over their children’s livelihoods.”

The decision to strip Andrew of his titles came amidst new allegations surrounding his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which he has continuously denied.
As well as losing his titles, both he and Sarah will be made to move out of the Royal Lodge, with Andrew moving to alternative private accommodation.
The statement from Buckingham Palace adds: “These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.
“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”
As for his daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, it has been widely reported that they will still retain their ‘Princess’ titles, despite not being working royals.
It was also revealed that Beatrice had been handed a new role following her dad’s exile from the royal family.
