Prince Harry’s team has appeared to shut down a recent speculation about Prince Archie following the Duke of Sussex’s recent solo visit to the UK. Rumours began to circulate earlier this month that Harry has registered his son at his former UK school, Eton College.

Archie – who was born in the UK in 2019 – now resides in California with his parents and his younger sister, four-year-old Princess Lilibet. Prince Harry, 41, and Prince William, 43, both began attending Eton in the 1990s – with Harry previously opening up about his good and bad memories of his days at the prestigious school.

Revealing that Harry had “mixed feelings” about Eton, an old school friend shared that the prince has now taken time to “appreciate the good”.

Previously speaking to The Royalist, the friend shared that the royal had registered his six-year-old son at his former school.

Following the claim, the Duke of Sussex’s team has now set the record straight by sharing a statement.

The statement, released via the Mirror, read: “I can confirm that Prince Harry has not registered Archie for Eton, and the Duke has no plans to send his son to Eton.”

Harry has previously spoken openly about his fears about bringing his children – including his daughter – back to the UK.

After visiting the UK earlier this month, Harry revealed that he is now potentially open to the idea of bringing his children to his home country.

He told the Guardian earlier this month: “This week has definitely brought that closer.”

Archie and Lilibet have not travelled to the UK since 2022, a visit that coincided with the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
