Harry warns about dangers of posting pics of kids online… days after Meghan shared clearest glimpse yet of Archie & Lili

PRINCE Harry has cautioned parents about posting their children’s faces on social media – days after Meghan posted the clearest glimpse of their kids yet on Instagram.

The Duke of Sussex made the comments when discussing the dangers of technology in a new episode of Hasan Minhaj Doesn’t Know – a popular podcast hosted by the comedian.

Prince Harry blasted AI and social media companies for “farming” the brains of young people, and said “there is no free will” on the platforms.

Minhaj asked for his thoughts on images online being manipulated with AI and whether parents should post photos of their children online.

“Parents can do whatever they want,” Harry responded.

“But from what I’ve seen, what I’ve heard, what I’ve experienced, is you should be really really worried, concerned and cautious about putting photographs of your kids online.

“Especially now, with this surge of unregulated AI. You don’t know where it’s going to go, how it’s going to be used.

“But that’s also really sad. There’s parents watching this asking ‘well how am I supposed to share photos with people across the world’.”

Harry and Meghan have been known to hide their kids’ faces on social media.

His comments come after Meghan recently briefly showed Archie and Lilibet’s faces for the first time in three years in a Halloween-themed video.

Harry also said on the podcast that social media is taking “young men and young boys into very dark places, which should concern all of us”.

The 41-year-old said he and Meghan Markle have discussed the topic a lot, and said they’ve both “had our fair share of beatings on social media”.

When they made the move to America, “we could focus on the things that are really obviously aligned to our passions and causes, and the tech industry was not one of those things,” he said.

“But what we were in search of was what is the root cause of so much suffering and pain around the world, and if we can identify that, how can we shine a light on that and the people trying to change the industry, and it was the tech industry and social media.”

“We talk about it a lot and I think, because of what we know, now we will be way more cautious and hesitant of allowing our kids to have access to social media, but the problem is that so many parents don’t have that awareness.

“Our goal has to be to make sure that when our children get to that age, that the situation now is not the situation then.

“The more parents that know what is happening, the more parents can protect their kids.

“People look to governments to protect them, yet we have this lawlessness within this particular industry.”

The Duchess of Sussex recently shared a rare glimpse into their home life on Instagram with a Halloween-themed family video.

Meghan delighted fans with the clip of the Sussexes enjoying a day out at a pumpkin patch before they carved Halloween decorations back at home.

But it was Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, who grabbed the attention of viewers after Meghan posted the heartwarming footage on her social media.

Royal fans were surprised to see a blurry glimpse Archie and Lilibet’s faces with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex usually photographing their children from behind to obscure their faces.

Though the pictures were blurry, it is the first time a photo of Lilibet’s face has been shared publicly since 2022, when an official portrait was released for her birthday.

Meghan shared a fleeting video of Lilibet running through the garden earlier this month.

But in that clip, only the back of Lilibet’s head was visible as Meghan cheered, “Go get ’em girl!”

Harry and Meghan were recently named Humanitarians of the Year at a glitzy awards bash.

Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, jetted to New York to accept the gong, which recognised their efforts in mental health advocacy.

The Sussexes appeared arm-in-arm as they were announced Project Healthy Minds’ Humanitarians of the Year at the glam awards.

They were awarded the accolade for their work in building a safer digital world for families and young people.

The pair were also praised for their extensive global mental health work during the World Mental Health Day Gala at Spring Studios.

Speaking onstage at the bash, Meg spoke of their concerns for their children, Archie, six and Lilibet, four, and the dangers of social media.
