Prince Harry is reportedly desperate for King Charles to meet his grandchildren again in 2026. The King last met Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

According to friends of Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex is now keen for them to be reunited with their grandfather again. He would love for the King to come to his mansion in Montecito, California, to spend time with the children.

As reported by The Sun, a source said: “Harry has made it clear that he would love his dad to come and visit him and the family. He knows that they are strained, but he has mentioned several times a hope that his father can have a relationship with his grandchildren.”

Harry met his father last September for the first time in 19 months. He has since expressed a desire for them to meet again despite strained family ties.

Despite well-documented recent health troubles, the King revealed before Christmas that his situation is improving. While Harry could bring his family to the UK, he would reportedly love the monarch to visit them in the US.

The King is set to visit the US alongside Queen Camilla in April to visit Donald Trump. It will be part of the 250th anniversary of American independence from British rule.

The news comes as a source close to the Sussexes claimed the reinstatement of Harry’s armed security in the US has been assured. A fresh risk assessment has reportedly been carried out by the royal and VIP executive committee (Ravec).

Sources said: “It’s now a formality. Sources at the Home Office have indicated that security is now nailed on for Harry.” The decision to reassess the risk followed a letter the duke wrote to Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood.

He was previously given protection for one day on a trip to the UK for a children’s charity event last September. However, a female stalker was able to access a secure zone at the engagement, forcing a former member of the armed forces to step in and protect the Duke of Sussex.
